Crafternoons- Hobart
4 May, 2029 @ 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Feel free to bring your own arts/crafts supplies, and we’ll also have some basic art supplies here (paper, pencils etc.), as well as things like colouring books. You don’t have to be skilled at art/crafts to join in, and don’t have to participate in creative things at all. It’s all about lowering the barriers to creative hobbies, mucking about with arty things in a relaxed environment, and having a go 😊. All sexualities, genders and identities are welcome.
Please Note this is for people aged 18 years and older.
Some benefits of a creative space:
• Something to do with your hands while you navigate the treacherous world of small talk (and an excuse to not do much of it if you’re ‘in the zone’ 😉) – also if you don’t know what to talk about, you can always ask someone questions about what they’re working on!
• Good for mental health – if you like mindfulness, this is a great way to engage with that, and if you don’t like mindfulness, it can just be fun getting creative 🙂
• Maybe you can start working on something for the ‘Artfully Queer’ art expo later this year 👀
• You can try some new ways of being creative in a safe, supportive environment, or pick up an old hobby you abandoned years ago
• You can share your creative knowledge and skills with others
• It’s fun!
From Friday, December 6th Crafternoons will operate from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm! For more info contact Kai at Kai@workingitout.org.au or contact us at info@workingitout.org.au or call 03 6231 1200
